WHO WINS THE BEST ENUMERATOR'S AWARD? NOMINEES LIST

BACKGROUND STUDY

Esoko is a network company that provides solutions and services for agriculture and data collection to empower rural populations and organizations that work with them. Esoko has been at the forefront of championing digital services in agriculture and rural communities in providing real-time information about market pricing as well as three-day weather forecasts and even agriculture tips and techniques all via text messages. Esoko as the company’s name was/is originated from the Swahili name ‘Soko’ which means, ‘Market’ and ‘e’ which means, ‘Electronic’, literally, Esoko means ‘Electronic Market’. Esoko is currently working in 16 countries with through different partnership agreements, both public sector agricultural projects and Esoko country reseller and franchises

Esoko, has been conducting active conferences for their enumerators once in every year to update them on success stories and the way forward. For the past four years, Esoko has not been able to call for conference due to over schedule activities the office has been engaged to. In the previous conferences held, Esoko awards the best enumerator for that particular year with citation and an undisclosed amount of cheque. Now, enumerators are wondering on when to have the next conference, where to have the conference and who wins the best enumerator’s award (when where who).

According to researches and investigations conducted by one of the active enumerators who has Esoko at heart, the date and the venue for the next conference is To Be Arranged (TBA) since the office is still battling on options of venue to choose for the conference but the assurance of having the workshop at the company’s main office in Accra is greater than the other proposed places.

Now, to make Esoko’s work easier in awarding the best enumerator, time has been taken to collate nominees who wish to stand the chance of winning. Note, the list is just a forecast and not mandatory. Here are the top 5 nominees and a brief Esoko history about them.
