WHAT'S NEW ABOUT THE YEAR?___King Size

New year comes and goes but yet nothing new
happens in the year. We still ride in our old cars, wear our old clothes, have our old friends, our wives and children remain same, geographical locations and landmarks of our continent is still old. As child as I were, I thought every new year is suppose to bring a physical change in one's life but I grew up to notice that is not exactly the case.

New Year is the time or day at which a new calendar year begins and the calendar's year count increments by one. Many cultures, religions, organizations and institutions have their own time of celebrating their new year according to their calendar.

Small Island nations like, Tonga, Samoa, and Kiriba are the first three countries to witness and celebrate new year's day.

In The 46 B.C., The Julian Calender was created by Julius Caesar to mark the new year in January and that is what we celebrate today, unlike previously in the era of the Romans when their new year's day was celebrated in 1st March.

The new year is the change of the mindset that is to change from any immoral behaviour and to turn over a new leaf for a new year is begun.
