Our union leaders are doing their best but the
actions of some of we the teachers in the classroom are the main cause of our
own problems. A teacher seeing his or her other colleagues as less
knowledgeable, spreading all sort of false information about him or her. What
happens if the community hears the defamatory words? They believe that but sees
you the person causing that with a different eye. More than 90 percent of both
private and government sectors keep their oath of secrecy. A nurse may be the
cause of the death of a patient but you will never hear that. Teacher makes
spelling mistakes and that becomes a topic of the day in the community.
Teachers, it is high time we stopped blaming our leaders and started blaming
ourselves.
"Yes, I lost my daughter during
delivery at a hospital (name withheld). They classified it as breached
extraction. After further investigations, we found out that it was a mistake of
the midwife on duty, at this time, we followed it to court and she was defended
by her authorities’’. One teacher recounted sadly.
Teachers, let’s come together once again
and fight for our welfare!!!!!
…Onipa tirim as3m, Allahu nkoaa na Onim.
